My goal is to provide you with compassionate, personalized support throughout your journey into parenthood. Here are the services I offer:

Prenatal SupportI’ll work with you to create a birth plan, share information on your options, and provide relaxation techniques to help you feel prepared and empowered. (With a reference from a Midwife, this support can extend to "nesting" services!)Labor/Birth DoulaDuring labor, I’ll be by your side with physical comfort measures, emotional encouragement, and advocacy, ensuring your wishes are respected and you feel supported every step of the way.
Please note, birth services are FREE for mothers under 18, these include a postpartum follow-upPostpartumAfter birth, I offer hands-on help with newborn care, guidance on feeding and sleep, and emotional support as you adjust to life with your new baby.Service bundlingEvery family’s path is different, and I’m here to provide the care that’s right for you. About

In March of 2024, I opened The Messy Bun Doula. The birth of my first child, followed by the loss of my second, inspired me to create a space where no one would have to navigate those profound and beautiful growing pains alone.
Working with my clients has deepened my passion for this journey, fueling my commitment to expand educational resources and research. This spark has also driven me to broaden my creativity, offering a wider range of services and products for mothers-to-be of all ages.

A little about me

I was born in Soldotna and have had the joy of calling eight different communities across Alaska home, reaching as far north as Kotzebue. I’ve been happily married since 2021, and together we have a wonderful son, along with two precious little ones who are waiting for us in heavenly places.
I’m happiest when I’m reading with my son, skiing out on the trails, baking something delicious, or creating something special—like handmade hats, teas, or ceramics. But my absolute favorite moments are spent with family and friends, usually outside, around a big fire, laughing and making the memories of a life time.

I’m excited to introduce our new online gift shop!With mothers in mind, I’ve created a selection of specialty items that are not only beautiful but also practical and supportive. As we journey through the stages of motherhood—whether it’s your first, second, or even tenth child—we all know, or are about to discover, just how challenging each new stage can be.
From preparing for a new baby to recovering from mastitis, hemorrhoids, labor, and other physical demands, motherhood can put a real strain on your body. The items in our gift shop are ones I personally use during pregnancy and postpartum and would recommend to anyone (with their medical provider’s approval).
From our soothing bath teas to our warming hot packs, and soon-to-come items like raspberry leaf tea, bath soaks, and bath salts, each product has been thoughtfully crafted for you, mama! Childbirth Education Classes!
5 hour class
This class is a well rounded, short and sweet 2 day class, diving into
Practical childbirth preparation, coping skills, tools, informed decision making, postpartum recovery, and preparing for the early days of parenting!!
12 hour in depth classes
Private classes also avalible at a discount if there are more than 5 couples present! this is a great opportunity for churches or community centers wanting to purchase bundles for their local communityI will be releasing a class calendar soon, supplying classes mainly in the Anchorage and Mat-Su Valley areas. We are still working on a Quarterly class schedule for the Central Kenai Peninsula at this time.

I am so grateful for this weeks ✨highlight✨, THE WORKSHOP!The Workshop is a volunteer-run, family-centered community space in South Anchorage where moms—new and experienced—can connect, create, and grow together.Designed to strengthen families through creativity and learning, The Workshop offers open art spaces, homeschool classes, story times, and family events—all low-cost or donation-based. It’s a welcoming place to meet other parents, share experiences, and let kids explore in a safe, imaginative environment.For new moms, it’s a lifeline of connection and encouragement. For seasoned moms, it’s a space to recharge, create, and be part of a supportive network that values both motherhood and individuality.
Whether you stop in for a class, volunteer, or just enjoy a cup of coffee while your kids play, The Workshop is here to remind every mom: you belong here.
